"The Mama Test"

Received this in an e-mail

THE MAMA TEST
I was out walking with my 4-year-old daughter.
She picked up something off of the ground

and started to put it in her mouth.
I took the item away from her and

I asked her not to do that.
'Why?' my daughter asked.
'Because it's been on the ground;
You don't know where it's been,

it's dirty, and probably has germs,' I replied.

At this point, my daughter looked at me
with total admiration and asked,
'Mama, how do you know all this stuff?
You are so smart.'
I was thinking quickly and replied,
'All moms know this stuff....

 It's on the Mama Test.
You have to know it,

or they don't let you be a Mama.'
We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes,

 But she was evidently
pondering this new information.
'Oh.....I get it!' she beamed,
'So if you don't pass the test

you have to be the dad.'
'Exactly,' I replied with a big smile on my face.

A little funny I received in an e-mail.

Traffic Camera

I was driving when I saw  the flash of a traffic camera.  I figured that my picture had been taken  for exceeding the limit even though I knew that I was not  speeding.

Just to be sure, I went around the  block and passed the same spot, driving even more slowly, but again the camera  flashed.

Now I began to think that this was  quite funny, so I drove even slower as I passed the area once more, but the  traffic camera again flashed.

I tried a fourth and fifth time  with the same results and was now laughing as the camera flashed while I  rolled past at a snail's pace.

I can't wait to get my traffic citation  by mail. Then I will personally go to the Courthouse and tell them their  surveillance camera is faulty.

Two weeks later, I got  five tickets in the mail for driving without a seat  belt.

You can't fix stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"It's February!"

During the dark blustery nights of February, when nature is in a deep chill and we long for a sign of warmth and life, patience can help us learn to await the first signs of spring.

February teaches us that winter has it's own special peace, that being snowbound or staying indoors can be a welcome respite from the busyness of life.

In February, we can complete unfinished projects and prepare for new initiatives in the spring.

February brings us the gift of patience, helping us to enjoy the solitude and quietness of the winter, guiding us to replenish our energy for the warm, busy days ahead.

"A New Look"

I finally decided to try to dress up my blogs this week-end. I really think this template is cute. When there is something I want to do, or don't know which blog to post it on it goes here in "A Little Of This And That." So it doesn't have a theme like the other blogs do.

The picture I took this summer. I was trying to get a picture of the butterfly on the flower. But, I didn't do a very good job. It is a bit blurry, but it was the first time I got a picture of a butterfly. They never set still long enough for me to get a picture.
